1. Purpose and Scope
This policy defines Fuyuan Legacy’s commitment to responsible and sustainable business conduct across the full supply chain. It applies to all suppliers, logistics partners, freight forwarders, and service providers engaged in any stage of sourcing, production, transportation, or delivery.
The policy is grounded in three pillars: environmental responsibility, social standards, and governance integrity — commonly referred to as ESG.
2. Supplier Selection Criteria
All new suppliers and logistics partners are evaluated not only on cost, quality, and delivery capability, but on their ESG performance. Selection criteria include:
- Environmental: Carbon footprint, waste management practices, use of renewable energy, and possession of relevant certifications (ISO 14001, EU Ecolabel, SA8000)
- Social: Fair labor practices, safe working conditions, prohibition of forced or child labor, and respect for workers’ rights
- Governance: Anti-corruption policies, business transparency, legal compliance in the countries of operation
Suppliers operating in high-risk regions or industries are subject to enhanced due diligence before onboarding.
3. Supplier Code of Conduct

All supply chain partners are required to acknowledge and adhere to Fuyuan Legacy’s Supplier Code of Conduct as a condition of partnership. The Code sets minimum expectations across:
- Prohibition of corruption, bribery, and conflicts of interest
- Compliance with applicable labor law and international human rights standards
- Responsible management of environmental impact at production and logistics facilities

4. Risk-Based Approach
Fuyuan Legacy applies a risk-based approach to sustainability oversight. Not all suppliers carry equal risk — factors such as country of origin, product category, production method, and regulatory environment determine the level of scrutiny applied.
- Tier 1 (direct suppliers): Full ESG assessment at onboarding and annual review
- Tier 2 (sub-suppliers and raw material sources): Periodic risk screening and transparency requirements
- Logistics partners: Assessment focused on emissions, fuel standards, and labor practices
5. Environmental Commitments
Fuyuan Legacy is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its supply chain operations. Key commitments include:
- Prioritising suppliers who have measurable carbon reduction targets or are working toward them
- Encouraging consolidation of shipments to reduce unnecessary freight emissions
- Reducing single-use packaging across inbound and outbound logistics where feasible
- Tracking and reporting the carbon footprint of logistics operations on an annual basis
6. Social and Labor Standards
Fuyuan Legacy does not knowingly engage with any supplier or partner that violates fundamental labor rights. The following are non-negotiable requirements for all supply chain partners:
- No use of forced, bonded, or child labor in any form
- Payment of at least the legal minimum wage in the supplier’s jurisdiction
- Safe and healthy working conditions at all production and warehousing facilities
- Right of workers to freedom of association and collective bargaining where legally permitted
Zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or abuse in the workplace
7. Transparency and Traceability
Supply chain visibility is a prerequisite for responsible sourcing. Fuyuan Legacy expects all partners to:
- Provide accurate and timely information about production origins, subcontractors, and material sources upon request
- Disclose any material changes to their operations, ownership, or compliance status
- Support traceability initiatives that allow Fuyuan Legacy to verify ESG claims across supply chain tiers
Where applicable, digital tools and documentation systems will be used to centralise this data and make it accessible within our platform.
8. Audits and Monitoring
Fuyuan Legacy reserves the right to conduct — or commission — audits of supply chain partners at any time. Monitoring mechanisms include:
- Self-assessment questionnaires completed by suppliers at onboarding and annually
- Third-party audits for high-risk or strategic suppliers
- Document reviews covering labor contracts, environmental permits, and certification status
- Corrective action plans issued when non-conformities are identified, with defined timelines for resolution
Persistent or serious non-compliance may result in termination of the partnership.
9. Continuous Improvement
Sustainability is treated as an ongoing commitment, not a one-time qualification. Fuyuan Legacy will:
- Review and update this policy annually to reflect regulatory changes and industry best practices
- Provide guidance and resources to suppliers working to improve their ESG performance
- Recognise and reward suppliers who demonstrate measurable progress on sustainability targets
Report internally on supply chain sustainability metrics on a regular basis
10. Regulatory Alignment
This policy is aligned with relevant international frameworks and emerging regulations, including:
- UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
- ILO Core Labour Standards
- EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD)
- ISO 26000 (Social Responsibility) and ISO 20400 (Sustainable Procurement)
This policy is approved by Fuyuan Legacy management and applies to all commercial relationships entered into or renewed from the effective date above.
